Baghban 2015 is a social drama. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini and Jaya Prada in lead roles. The film depicts the relationship between a father and his three sons - as they grow from childhood into adulthood with their mother away from them due to her busy schedule. In spite of being separated from their mother, the sons do not hold any resentment towards her as they know that she is very hardworking and has been giving her best for all of them.The movie was released on 14 April 2007 to an average opening response at the box office but made a decent profit during its theatrical run owing to strong word-of-mouth support from audiences. The film was remade in Tamil as "Pudhiya Geethai" (2009).The tale is of a husband and wife, Om and Radha Prasad Choudhary (Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini), living in Delhi. Om works hard to take care of his wife and three sons – Gopal, Laxman and Shyam. His elder son, Gopal (Abhishek Bachchan) is an engineer who by the virtue of being the eldest son sees himself as the head of the family, unlike his younger brothers who respect their father as their leader.Gopal marries Geeta (Jaya Prada). Geeta is a very religious person and feels that it is her duty to care for her husband and in-laws. She initially lives with her father, but later joins her husband and in-laws as his first wife as per the custom of the joint family system. However, Geeta believes that it is Om who should be given the respect and position of the head of the household – something that Gopal refuses to do. Gopal's younger brothers Laxman (Ranbir Kapoor) and Shyam (Shahid Kapoor) also live with their parents and Gopal; they love their mother very much. Om often has to face insults from his elder son, who does not listen to him at all. Om goes out of town to work for a short time. When he returns, he finds that his wife has died in an accident without anybody being able to help her, leaving Om shattered by the loss. Om's mother-in law blames him for not being able to save his wife, but Om instead blames himself for not being there with her to save her life. Years later, Gopal and his family have left for a location with their son Laxman. In the meantime, Om goes to Goa with his wife Radha, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. The film ends with Om taking several photographs of his wife as she does not remember anything now.

The soundtrack for this film was composed by Anand Raj Anand and released on T-Series label.

"Baghban 2015" received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Rediff gave it 3 stars out of 5 and praised the performances of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini but criticised the "lack of comic relief".
